About SDSC-SHAR ISRO


Located in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC SHAR) serves as the cornerstone of India's space program. As the nation's premier spaceport, SDSC-SHAR plays a crucial role in launching rockets and satellites for scientific, communication, navigation, and remote sensing purposes.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizenship: Open to Indian citizens only.
  • Pursuing undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or PhD studies in Science or Technology at a recognized Indian or international university.
  • Completed UG/PG studies from a recognized university within the last 6 months (for those seeking internships after graduation).
  • Enrolled in a regular on-campus program at a recognized university.


Minimum Semester Completion

  • BE/BTech: Completed 6th semester (minimum internship duration: 45 days)
  • ME/MTech: Completed 1st semester (minimum internship duration: 120 days)
  • MSc: Completed 1st semester (minimum internship duration: 120 days)

How to Apply

Prepare your documents
  • Bonafide certificate or request letter from your college on the institution's letterhead with the signature of the Director/Principal/HoD.
  • Consolidated mark sheet/memorandum of marks displaying your CGPA or percentage of marks up to the previous semester.
  • Copy of your college ID card.
  • Copy of a valid photo identification document (voter ID, driving license, Aadhaar card).
  • Contact details including mobile number and email address.

Ensure your Bonafide certificate/request letter includes
  • Your full name
  • Registration number
  • Degree and branch information
  • Start and end dates of your study period
  • Current academic year and semester
  • CGPA or percentage of marks up to the current semester
  • Purpose of the request (internship/project)
  • Requested internship duration (months and days)
  • Information on your character and conduct

Send an email with all the above documents attached to hrdd@shar.gov.in (Head, HRM, SDSC SHAR) at least one month before your preferred internship start date.
