SBI PO 2023 Eligibility and Syllabus


SBI PO Syllabus:

The SBI PO Syllabus is divided into three phases:

I. Preliminary Examination: Consists of 3 Sections:

  • English Language
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability

II. Main Examination: This phase includes two papers:

a. Objective Paper:

  • Test of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude
  • Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
  • Test of General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness
  • Test of English Language

b. Descriptive Paper:

  • Letter Writing
  • Essay Writing

III. Group Exercises & Interview.

State Bank of India Probationary Officer (PO) Eligibility:

Nationality: The candidate must be a Citizen of India.

Age Criteria:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 01-04-2023) (Candidates must be born between 02-04-1993 and 01-04-2002, inclusive of both dates)

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

  1. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years
  2. SC/ST candidates, Ex-servicemen, and PWD candidates: 5 years
  3. PWD (SC/ST) candidates: 15 years
  4. PWD (OBC) candidates: 13 years
  5. PWB (Gen/EWS) candidates: 10 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Note: Candidates in their Final year/Semester of Graduation may also apply provisionally, with the condition that they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination if called for an interview. Candidates with integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure the date of passing the IDD.
